1st block: I hope you were here...4 paragraph in class essay on "Antigone". Will have to be made up before/after school or tomorrow in tutoring. Please have your thesis sentence and quotes ready.

2nd and 4th block:

DGP: Punctuate the sentence.

Write a personification of a tone word. (see toe as a metaphor worksheet)

TPCASTT "The Sloth". We did this as a class and you will need the handout. Almost friday.

DGP
many students work on the star our school newspaper
(label the parts of a sentence. Include subject, verb (transative or intransitive), diroct object, object of a preposition, and appositive phrase.

1st block--We read "Antigone". We'll finish tomorrow and in class essay on Thursday.

2nd block--Took notes on ballads (get from me or a friend)
Read "Sonnet 18", "Lord Randall", "Ballad" and "Midwinter Blues"


4th block--same as 2nd expect you need to get the questions from me.

Only one nine weeks to go an then the free summer days will be upon us. Here are today's assignments.

DGP#1
many students work on the star our school newspaper
(label parts of speech and watch out for our--it's tricky)

Pre-AP: started Antigone and went over the backstory. Make sure you get someone's notes on the back story and the rather twisted family tree.

2nd and 4th block-- DGP
Poetry terms (see me for handout)

Read "Ex-Basketball Player" and "The Sea Fever"
Write an 8 sentence poem with a mood shift between the stanzas.
Rhyme scheme: ABAB CDCD or AABB CCDD
Use two examples of figuaritive language/highlight and label
